Overview:
Our company was hired to control an invasive species that took out 80% of the native vegetation in a USDA planted woods as part of a conservation effort.
The invasive plant wiped out the ground brush and, with it, local wildlife.
It took us two years to get ourselves in the position to deploy the re-vegetation and maintenance phase.
We now need two workers to execute this phase to maintain and manicure the 60 acres as a preventive to invasive plants.
This job is 100% outdoors and in nature.
All equipment will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Mow 60 acres to 4 in length - 2 times per month - Weed eat around every tree - 2 times per month - Weed eat creek, creek bed, and surrounding creek areas - 2 times per month - Prune every tree in the designated 60-acre area - constant until finished - Pick up all downed branches and tree debris and place them in the burn pit - constant - Manage burn pit - constant - Notify the parent company of all downed trees on the 60-acre area -Notify the parent company of all downed trees in the creek - Seed, lime, and fertilize - 1 time per year - Spray for weeds - 2 times per year - Spray for invasive species - monthly - Maintain road front landscaping - Company leased property - 2 times per month - Maintain house and garage landscaping - Company leased property - 2 times per month - Maintain and clean all equipment - Weekly - Maintain and clean garage - Weekly - Various other small jobs, such as but not limited to moving items, organizing, washing, etc.
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating tractor, riding mower, riding sprayer, gas-powered equipment, off-road vehicles, power tools, and hand tools - Experience and knowledge in general landscaping - Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude - Ability to plan, organize, and execute schedule - Excellent problem-solving skills - Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Can manage the workload, schedule, and teammates We are actively trying to build a full-time team, whether it's as a yearly contractor or full-time employee.
