Human Resources Generalist Reports to:
HR Director Summary/Objective:
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.
Under supervision, the Human Resources Generalist performs work of moderate difficulty in human resources and benefits administration.
Essential Functions:
Provide support functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential Assists with new-employee orientations.
Process new hire paperwork including, drug screens, timecards, tax forms and demographic information.
Complete I-9 for new hires and maintains I-9 record; periodically audits Forms I-9.
Create new employee personnel files and file papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status.
Assists with benefits administration including payroll/benefits-related reconciliations in coordination with Finance Department.
Processes and maintains FMLA documentation, Short-term Disability, and Long-term Disability claims.
Update and Maintain HRIS database records and process personnel action forms new hires, terminations, and other status changes.
Provides payroll information by validating and collecting time and attendance records.
Submits employee data reports by assembling, preparing, and analyzing data.
Assist HR director with various research projects and/or special projects and employee events.
Assist with the recruitment and interview process.
Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous HR experience (minimum of 3 years required) Certified HR professional a plus Supervisory Responsibility N/A Work Environment This job operates in an office environment.
Training Company orientation HR - related offsite training may be requested by the supervisor on occasion.
