7K a year 1 day ago 1 day ago 1 day ago Summary/Objective (a brief generalstatement of the more important functions and responsibilities of a job) The Warehouse Order Picker is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security and productivity.
The Order Picker is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.
Essential Functions (the fundamental duties of a position:
the things a person holding the job absolutely must be able to do).
Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area Conduct operations in compliance with OSHA and MSDS Standards Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety Ensure picked items are accurate and free of damage Responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled Label, tag, or mark orders as requested Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment Conduct physical inventories as required Repack and weigh any orders that require such handling Advise management of count issues on a timely basis Meet company standards for productivity Core Competency Requirements (identify the skills, qualities, experience and specialized training needed for a job) Knowledge and expertise in:
Must have a working knowledge of order processing systems and inventory management systems Must be knowledgeable in warehousing procedures Ability to give attention to detail is a must Excellent organizational and time management skills Required Skills (skill set required to be able to perform the job) Previous experience with safe operation of forklift Ability to calculate mathematical values Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted Good physical strength and stamina Ability to practice and demonstrate DALB Core Values Required Education and Experience (education, training, or on the job experience required to perform job) High School Diploma Supervisory Responsibility (direct reports) This position does not have any direct reports.
Work Environment (office or plant) This job operates in a warehouse environment.
This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment.
